EMI Power Filters

Due to the nature of the EMC chamber, all conductors passing through the shield need to do so in a controlled manner to ensure that conducted and radiated emissions do not interfere with the quiet environment/ test conditions created within the chamber. In order to achieve this any power or data cables which pass into the shielded chamber need to do so through an EMI Filter.

Generally, EMI filters consist of passive components which are connected together to form LC circuits. The LC circuits allow DC or low frequency currents to pass through, whilst ushering the higher frequency, unwanted currents down a low impedance path and into the ground/ earth connection leaving the clean/ quiet environment within.

NTD Shielding Services supply high performance filters that are ideal for this application and are designed to meet the very highest insertion loss requirement of 100dB from 10kHz to 10GHz and features an extended low frequency performance to provide considerable filter attenuation at frequencies as low as 1kHz.

Power Filters are available in both single phase and three phase as per the table below.
