Multifunctional Immunity Test Systems - 3CTest CCS Series

NTD Shielding supplies the 3CTest CCS series of multifunctional immunity test systems for conducted EMC immunity testing in line with IEC 61000-4-4, IEC 61000-4-5, IEC 61000-4-11 and related standards. Designed to consolidate multiple immunity test functions into a single instrument, the CCS range offers an efficient and cost-effective solution for labs, product development teams and test facilities requiring compliant multi-phenomenon testing.

The range comprises four models: CCS500, CCS600, CCS800 and CCS1000, with maximum test voltages from 5 kV to 10 kV, allowing users to select the right system based on their application, standard requirements and budget.

Multifunctional immunity testing in a single system

Conducted immunity testing typically requires separate instruments for EFT/burst, surge, voltage dip and interruption, and in some cases ring wave and magnetic field tests. A multifunctional immunity simulator combines these functions into one unit, reducing bench space, simplifying cabling and accelerating test sequences — particularly useful where a range of IEC 61000-4 phenomena need to be evaluated on the same equipment.

The CCS series is well suited to compliance work, pre-compliance development testing and production-line immunity screening. Built-in CDN support for single-phase EUTs is included across the range, with external CDN compatibility for three-phase configurations.

The CCS range

The 3CTest CCS series covers four models, each combining EFT/burst, surge and voltage dip testing as standard. Higher models in the range extend this to include ring wave, pulse magnetic field and communications line testing, making them suitable for more comprehensive immunity programmes.

All models feature touchscreen operation, automated test sequencing, built-in single-phase CDN and remote control capability via the EMSLab software platform.

  • CCS500 — 5 kV, core immunity functions for general compliance and CE marking
  • CCS600 — 6 kV, extended voltage range for broader standard coverage
  • CCS800 — 8 kV, adds ring wave and pulse magnetic field test capability
  • CCS1000 — 10 kV, highest voltage output for demanding immunity programmes

Choosing the right CCS model

The main selection factors are required test voltage, the range of immunity phenomena you need to cover, and whether testing is for development, pre-compliance or formal certification. The CCS500 and CCS600 are well matched to standard IEC 61000-4 compliance work for single and three-phase equipment, while the CCS800 and CCS1000 suit labs with broader or more demanding test programmes.

It is also worth considering the CDN configuration needed for your EUT, the importance of EMSLab software integration, and whether future test scope expansion is likely — a higher-specification model may offer better long-term value if requirements are expected to grow.

If you are unsure which model fits your application, NTD Shielding can help you assess your requirements and identify the most appropriate system.
