Description
The 3C Test CCS1000 is the highest-output model in the CCS series, delivering surge immunity testing up to 10 kV and 5 kA in a compact 19-inch 6U chassis weighing approximately 32 kg. Despite its position at the top of the range, it is notably lighter and more compact than the CCS800, reflecting a different internal architecture optimised for maximum surge output rather than an expanded chassis. The CCS1000 covers EFT/burst, surge, power frequency magnetic field, pulse magnetic field, and voltage dip and interruption testing. One important distinction from the CCS500, CCS600 and CCS800 is that the CCS1000 does not include a built-in single-phase CDN — external coupling/decoupling networks are required for both single and three-phase EUT configurations. This gives greater flexibility for labs building bespoke test setups around the instrument, and the system remains compatible with the same range of external CDN modules used across the CCS series, supporting three-phase five-wire configurations up to 400 A. Surge capability is the defining specification: 10 kV open circuit voltage with 5 kA test current places the CCS1000 in the territory of the most demanding IEC 61000-4-5 immunity requirements, making it appropriate for accredited test houses, infrastructure testing, and applications in military, avionics, new energy and other sectors where high surge levels are routinely required. Operation is via the same 5.7-inch colour TFT touchscreen and CoreLab-compatible Ethernet interface used across the range, with surge failure detection, BNC monitoring outputs, test sequencing mode and phase synchronisation control all included as standard. NTD Shielding can advise on external CDN selection, optional module configuration and integration of the CCS1000 into your test environment.
